Casino sister sites are brands run by the same company, usually on the same platform, with shared payment processing and support but different names, looks and bonus terms. In Canada the reliable way to find them is the iGaming Ontario operator directory, which groups every regulated site under its legal operator. Below we list the main Ontario families, the offshore groups behind brands such as Lucky Nugget, Ruby Slots and Casino Brango, and what a shared owner does and does not tell you.

Ontario casino families from the official directory

The iGaming Ontario directory, accurate as of 1 September 2026, lists 49 operators running 84 gaming websites. These groups come straight from it:

Operator (legal entity) Ontario sites
Apollo Entertainment Ltd Captain Cooks Casino, Casino Classic, Golden Tiger, Grand Mondial, Luxury Casino, Yukon Gold Casino, Zodiac Casino
Cadtree Limited Jackpot City, Royal Vegas, Ruby Fortune, Spin Casino
BetMGM Canada Inc. BetMGM Casino, BetMGM Poker, BetMGM Sportsbook, Wheel of Fortune
ElectraWorks Maple Limited Bwin, PartyCasino, PartyPoker, Partysports, Sports Interaction
Crown DK CAN Ltd. DraftKings Casino, DraftKings Sportsbook, Golden Nugget Casino
FanDuel Canada ULC FanDuel Casino, FanDuel Poker, FanDuel Sportsbook
Canadix Limited Betinia, Swiper, ToonieBet
Score Media and Gaming Inc. Hollywood Casino, theScore Bet, theScore Casino

The directory also groups PlayOJO, KnightSlots, SpinGenie and SlotsMagic under Skill On Net Ltd., so in the strict sense the PlayOJO sister sites are the other three.

Spin Casino, Zodiac and the Casino Rewards names

Spin Casino sister sites in Ontario are Jackpot City, Royal Vegas and Ruby Fortune, all under Cadtree Limited. Zodiac Casino, Luxury Casino, Grand Mondial, Captain Cooks and Casino Classic share Apollo Entertainment Ltd in Ontario. Outside Ontario, the offshore Captain Cooks and Casino Classic sites, along with Grand Hotel Casino, Quatro Casino and Villento, run under Kahnawake permits held by Fresh Horizons. Captain Cooks and Grand Hotel point to the Casino Rewards loyalty programme. That rest-of-Canada network is a separate business from the Ontario sites, with a different licence and different terms.

Offshore groups behind other brands

These sister groups come from the licence holders named in each brand’s terms or in licence registers. None of them is licensed by a province:

  • Baytree Interactive: Lucky Nugget Casino and Spin Galaxy (Kahnawake), and the rest-of-Canada Royal Vegas site.
  • Anden Online N.V.: Casino Brango, Casino Extreme and Casino Adrenaline (Curacao or Anjouan).
  • Primrose Media Limited: Ruby Slots and Raging Bull Slots (Anjouan).
  • N1 Interactive Ltd.: N1 Casino, Cookie Casino and Bob Casino (Malta).
  • Rootz (Wildz Group): Wildz, Caxino and Spinz (Malta).

Read each brand’s full review before signing up; the licence line is near the top of every one.

Same owner, different licence

A brand name is not a licence. Several names on this page exist twice: once as an Ontario site registered with the AGCO, and once as an offshore site for the rest of Canada with a Kahnawake or Malta licence. The two sites can belong to different legal entities, carry different bonus terms and offer different complaint routes. Royal Vegas, Captain Cooks, Lucky Days and Sports Interaction are examples. If you are in Ontario, only the Ontario-registered version is legal for you; we do not suggest the offshore namesake as a way around a block, and you should not use one.

What sister sites share, and what they do not

  • Usually shared: the platform, the game library, payment providers, verification checks, often support staff.
  • Usually different: bonus terms, loyalty schemes, look and feel.
  • Sometimes shared: self-exclusion. Excluding yourself from one brand does not always exclude you from its sisters. Ask the operator to apply it to every brand it runs, or use a province-wide scheme where one exists.

Why sister sites matter when you compare casinos

If one brand in a group has slow withdrawals or unclear bonus terms, its sisters often share the same back office and the same habits. The reverse also holds: a group with a good record in Ontario tends to apply the same payment and verification processes across its brands. Comparing two sister sites is therefore mostly a comparison of bonus terms and game lobbies, not of safety. Comparing an Ontario brand with an offshore namesake is a comparison of two different businesses.

How to check a casino’s sister sites yourself

  1. Scroll to the footer and note the company name and licence number.
  2. For Ontario, search the iGaming Ontario operator directory for that company; every site it runs is listed under it.
  3. For Alberta, check the AGLC list of registered iGaming operators.
  4. For an offshore brand, compare the company name with other brands’ terms. Look and feel alone proves nothing.

Our iGaming Ontario guide explains how the directory works.

Casino play is for adults: 19+ (18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec). If you are switching between sister brands to get around a limit you set, that is a sign to stop; our responsible gambling page has provincial helplines.

Questions readers ask

What are casino sister sites?

Casino brands run by the same operating company, usually on the same platform. They share back-office systems and payments but have their own names and bonus terms.

What are the Spin Casino sister sites?

In Ontario, Spin Casino shares its operator, Cadtree Limited, with Jackpot City, Royal Vegas and Ruby Fortune, according to the iGaming Ontario directory.

What are the PlayOJO sister sites?

In Ontario, PlayOJO is run by Skill On Net Ltd., which also runs KnightSlots, SpinGenie and SlotsMagic.

Does self-exclusion at one brand cover its sister sites?

Not always. Ask the operator to apply the exclusion to every brand it runs, and check whether your province offers a wider scheme.

Is the offshore version of a brand the same as the Ontario one?

No. It can be run by a different legal entity under a different licence, with different terms and no provincial complaints route.
