The casino payment methods you will meet in Canada fall into four groups: bank transfers led by Interac e-Transfer, Visa and Mastercard cards, digital wallets such as PayPal, Apple Pay, Skrill and MuchBetter, and prepaid vouchers such as Paysafecard. At provincially licensed sites, Interac and cards are the near-universal pair, with PayPal and Apple Pay at several Ontario operators. Your choice decides how fast money comes back, what your bank charges and how much the casino learns about your accounts.
Online gambling is 19+ (18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec). Whatever method you use, set a deposit limit in the account first; our responsible gambling page explains the limit and self-exclusion tools.

The table summarises the operator payment lists in our records and the providers’ own pages. Cashiers change often, and limits and fees differ by operator, so treat it as a starting point and check the cashier after you log in.
Interac first: the default Canadian route
Interac e-Transfer moves money between Canadian bank accounts and usually arrives within about 30 minutes. Each bank sets its own send limit; Interac cites typical consumer limits around $2,000 to $3,000 per transaction. Most regulated operators also list it for withdrawals, according to their payment pages, so the same route works in both directions. The older Interac Online service was discontinued on 31 October 2024. An online casino Interac payment today means an e-Transfer or a bank-connect service that opens your banking.
Cards and the cash-advance problem
Visa and Mastercard are accepted almost everywhere, but the card type matters. RBC, CIBC and TD cardholder agreements treat gambling charges on credit cards as cash advances, with fees and interest from the day of the charge. Visa Debit and Debit Mastercard draw on your bank account instead. Apple Pay and Google Pay inherit the rules of whichever card sits in the wallet. Details are on the debit and credit card page.
Wallets: PayPal at regulated sites, the rest mostly offshore
PayPal appears mainly at Ontario-registered operators; an industry figure quoted by CasinoBeats said PayPal supports gambling only where the market is fully regulated. Skrill and Neteller, both owned by Paysafe, and the app-based MuchBetter appear mostly at offshore casinos in our records. Some bonus terms exclude e-wallet deposits, so read the excluded methods list before you claim an offer.

All of these are registered with the AGCO, and all but OLG, Ontario’s crown site, contract with iGaming Ontario; most are also registered in Alberta. In British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan the regulated site is PlayNow, in Quebec Loto-Quebec’s online casino, and in Atlantic Canada ALC. Our records do not confirm the full cashier of those crown sites. The provinces overview lists the legal options by province.
Phone bill, Boku and SMS payments
Searches for a phone payment casino, Boku casino payments or paying by mobile bill are common. We found no provincially licensed Canadian operator in our records that lists pay-by-phone-bill deposits, and no official source confirming the method for Canadian gambling. Sites that advertise it to Canadians are typically offshore. Mobile players at regulated sites usually pay with Interac, Apple Pay or a card from the phone; see our mobile casinos page.
Withdrawals: plan the exit before the deposit
Most operators pay winnings back through the method you deposited with when that method can receive money, after identity checks. Prepaid vouchers and some phone wallets cannot, so the payout goes by bank transfer or Interac instead. Regulated Ontario sites must run bets and payouts in Canadian dollars and show you the method and source of funds for each transaction. We do not time withdrawals ourselves; our fast withdrawal casinos page compares the processing times operators publish.
Payments at offshore sites
An offshore casino can accept Interac, cards and wallets that look identical to a regulated cashier. The payment works; the protection does not. Offshore sites are not licensed by any province, so if a withdrawal stalls the complaint goes to the operator and a regulator abroad. Crypto deposits, common offshore, add price movement between deposit and withdrawal.
