PlayOJO Review

In Ontario and Alberta, playojo.ca is a provincially regulated casino. Skill On Net Ltd. runs it under registration with the AGCO and an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario, and the same company appears on AGLC’s register with playojo.ca. Outside those two provinces, review sources describe a separate PlayOJO site licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority, which is offshore from a Canadian point of view. So the answer to “is playojo.ca legit” depends on where you live.

The official site returned an error to our tools, so offer details below come from our operator data and stay blank where we could not confirm them. Licence facts come from the provincial lists themselves.

PlayOJO.ca in Ontario and Alberta: what the licence gives you

A provincial registration is more than a badge. For a player in Ontario (19+, physically in the province) or Alberta (18+), it means:

• A Canadian regulator. The AGCO in Ontario, AGLC in Alberta. For complaints, iGaming Ontario advises working with the operator first.
• Central self-exclusion in Ontario. iGaming Ontario points players to BetGuard, which covers all regulated Ontario online gambling, as well as each operator’s own program.
• Clear age and location rules. 19+ and physically in Ontario; 18+ in Alberta.

Alberta’s private market opened on 13 July 2026 under the Alberta iGaming Corporation, with AGLC registering operators; PlayOJO is on that register alongside sister brands. Our iGaming Ontario guide and Alberta page explain each system. Regulator on file: AGCO / iGaming Ontario (Ontario); AGLC (Alberta); Malta Gaming Authority for other provinces.

Visit PlayOJO19+ (18+ in AB, MB, QC). Terms apply.

PlayOJO Canada outside the two regulated provinces

In British Columbia, Quebec, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Atlantic Canada, no private online casino is licensed. Review sources describe a PlayOJO site for those players under a Malta Gaming Authority licence. The MGA is a serious regulator, but it is not a Canadian one: your complaint goes to Malta, and provincial self-exclusion does not apply. The crown site in your province (PlayNow, Loto-Quebec or Atlantic Lottery) is the provincially regulated alternative. We do not give ways to reach a provincial site from outside its province.

PlayOJO.ca bonus, free spins and promo code

We could not read the current bonus terms on playojo.ca, so check them there before you opt in, in particular whether spin winnings carry any playthrough. On file: welcome offer not stated, wagering not stated, promo code not stated.

Searches for a playojo.ca no deposit bonus are common. We found no no-deposit offer we could confirm, so check any such promise against the offers shown inside your account. Our no wagering casinos page explains why spins without playthrough are worth more than larger bonuses with heavy conditions.

You can also decline a bonus. Without one, your balance stays as cash you can withdraw once verification is done, which is a sensible default until you have read the terms on the site yourself.

A casino without a sportsbook

Our data shows no sportsbook and no lottery products at PlayOJO, so it is a casino-only brand. We could not confirm the current lobby or studio lineup from a primary source, so we do not describe them.

Cashing out at playojo.ca

Item	On file
Payment methods	Interac, Visa, Mastercard, MuchBetter, AstroPay, ecoPayz, Paysafecard
Interac	Yes
Minimum deposit	not stated
Withdrawal time	not stated

Review sources list Interac, cards and several e-wallets and vouchers. Expect identity verification before a first playojo.ca withdrawal. If a payout stalls on the Ontario site, start with the operator’s complaints process, as iGaming Ontario advises; the AGCO is the regulator behind it.

PlayOJO.ca app

We could not confirm current App Store or Google Play listings for the Canadian PlayOJO app from our sources, so the store fields stay open: Android not stated, iOS not stated. The casino also runs in a mobile browser. Real-money play on the Ontario and Alberta sites is only for people physically inside that province.

Other Skill On Net brands (PlayOJO sister sites)

Skill On Net Ltd. runs several brands on the provincial lists. In Ontario: Knightslots, SlotsMagic and SpinGenie. In Alberta: SpinGenie, Mega Casino and SlotsMagic. See our SpinGenie review. A shared operator means shared account rules and responsible gambling tools, but promotions differ by brand.

Reading PlayOJO.ca reviews and complaints

Player reviews of PlayOJO often mix experiences from different versions of the site: the Ontario and Alberta sites, the Malta-licensed site for other provinces and sites in other countries. A complaint about a payout or a closed account only tells you something useful if you know which licence applied. On the Ontario site, iGaming Ontario tells players to take complaints to the operator first; on the Malta-licensed site, the MGA’s player support is the last step. When you read a review, look for a date, the province and whether the writer had accepted a bonus.

Responsible play at PlayOJO

Canada-wide, the age line is 19+ (18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec). Set deposit limits and time-outs in your account, and in Ontario you can also self-exclude from every regulated site at once through BetGuard. Free helplines are listed on our responsible gambling page.
