Few Google Pay casinos can be confirmed in Canada. Among regulated operators, our records show Google Pay only for Royal Vegas in Alberta, and we found no operator help page or official source confirming it at Ontario-registered or crown sites. Where it is offered, the deposit comes from a card saved in Google Wallet and is approved on your Android phone. A few offshore casinos list it as well.

Online gambling is 19+ (18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec). See our responsible gambling page for limits and support lines.

The payment flow where Google Pay is offered

Where it is offered, you pick Google Pay in the cashier, choose a saved card and approve on your phone. The casino receives a token rather than the card number. We found no operator that pays winnings out to Google Pay itself; operators that take card wallets usually pay back to the card or by bank transfer, according to their terms.

Royal Vegas is registered with the AGCO and iGaming Ontario and with AGLC; its listing shows Google Pay for Alberta. The other four are offshore sites licensed in Malta, Kahnawake or Gibraltar, not by any province, so provincial complaint routes do not apply. Our Alberta page explains the new private market.

The card in your wallet decides the billing

Google Pay is only the delivery method. A credit card saved in the wallet is still subject to its issuer’s gambling rules; RBC, CIBC and TD treat gambling charges as cash advances. A debit card draws on your bank account. If you want a bank-based route that most regulated sites support, use Interac e-Transfer.

What to check before you rely on it

Open the cashier after you log in and look for Google Pay among deposit methods, then read the payment terms for minimums, any fees and the payout route. If it is missing, Apple Pay, cards and Interac are the usual alternatives at regulated sites.

Why the regulated list is so short

Royal Vegas’s listing in our records shows Google Pay for Alberta and Apple Pay more widely, which shows how cashiers can differ by province even under one brand. An operator can run a different cashier in each province and may add or drop a wallet at any time. Our research found no Ontario operator help page and no crown site that names Google Pay. That is why this page names so few operators: we only list what our records support.

Android alternatives at regulated sites

On an Android phone, the regulated sites in our records usually offer Interac e-Transfer through your bank app, Visa and Mastercard debit cards and, at several Ontario operators, PayPal. Each of those can also pay winnings back, something we could not confirm for Google Pay at any operator. If you use a casino app, check that it comes from the official store listing named on the operator’s site rather than a downloaded file from a link.

Questions readers ask

Can Ontario players deposit with Google Pay?

We could not confirm Google Pay at any Ontario-registered or crown site. Our records show it for Royal Vegas in Alberta and at some offshore casinos.

Will my bank charge cash-advance interest on a Google Pay deposit?

If the card in Google Wallet is a credit card, its issuer usually treats gambling as a cash advance. A debit card draws on your account.

Does any casino pay out to Google Pay?

We found no operator that does. Card-wallet users are paid back to the card or by bank transfer, according to operator terms.
