Live Game Shows: Crazy Time and More

How Crazy Time and other live casino game shows work, what Evolution publishes about the wheel and bonus rounds, and why stats trackers cannot predict spins.

Live Game Shows: Crazy Time and More

Crazy Time is a live casino game show from Evolution, launched in July 2020: a presenter spins a large money wheel with 54 segments, and you bet on which number or bonus game the pointer will stop on. It grew out of Evolution’s earlier Dream Catcher wheel and adds four bonus games, Cash Hunt, Coin Flip, Pachinko and Crazy Time itself. Like every casino game, it has a built-in house edge, and in Canada you can only play it in a regulated setting on a site your province authorizes.

How Crazy Time works

Before each spin you place chips on any of eight spots: the numbers 1, 2, 5 and 10, and the four bonus games. Number spots pay at their face value if the wheel lands on them, so a win on 10 pays 10 to 1. Random multipliers can be added to spots in some rounds; the help screen explains how. If the wheel lands on a bonus game you bet on, you play that round:

  • Cash Hunt: you pick one target on a wall of hidden multipliers.
  • Coin Flip: a coin with a red and a blue multiplier decides your payout.
  • Pachinko: a puck drops down a peg wall into a multiplier slot.
  • Crazy Time: a second, larger bonus wheel with bigger multipliers.

Evolution called Crazy Time the most expensive game it had produced. Its own announcements mention top multipliers of 10,000x in one release and 20,000x in another, so we do not quote a single maximum; check the game’s help screen for the current figure.

Crazy Time RTP and the cost of each bet

Each bet spot has its own return. Third-party guides quote about 96.08% for the number 1 and roughly 94.3% to 95.7% for the bonus spots, but we have not confirmed those numbers directly from Evolution. The game’s help screen lists the RTP for every spot, so open it before you play. The pattern is common to game shows: the flashiest spots, the bonus games, tend to carry the higher house edge, while the plain number spots carry the lower one.

Crazy Time trackers and results today

Sites that track Crazy Time results show the history of recent spins, how long since a bonus game appeared and the biggest wins of the day. They are a record of the past and nothing more. The wheel has no memory, and a bonus that has not appeared for a hundred spins is no more likely on the next one. If a tracker or an app claims it can tell you when Crazy Time is about to hit, it is selling a myth. Use the history for curiosity, not for sizing your bets.

Lightning Roulette and other live game shows

Evolution’s Lightning games add random multipliers to classic tables. Lightning Roulette strikes a few numbers each round with boosted payouts, and Lightning Baccarat uses a similar idea at the card table. The payouts in these versions differ from the classic games, and we have not verified the exact tables, so read the rules panel before you bet. Our pages on online roulette and the live dealer casinos explain the classic versions for comparison.

Lightning Link is a slot, not a game show

Searches for Lightning Link, Lightning Link casino or Tiki Fire Lightning Link are about a slot machine series, not a live show. The Lightning Link app on Facebook and in app stores is a social casino game: coins are free or bought, and they cannot be cashed out. “Lightning casino free coins” offers belong to that social world too. Our free slots guide explains how social apps differ from real-money slots.

Which sites stream game shows legally

Live game shows run on the live casino sections of regulated sites. In Ontario that means OLG.ca or an operator on the iGaming Ontario list, for players aged 19+ who are in the province. Alberta has Play Alberta and the private sites registered since 13 July 2026, British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan have PlayNow, and Quebec has Loto-Quebec. Game availability differs from site to site, so check the live lobby before you deposit. Offshore casinos also stream Crazy Time to Canadians; no province licenses them.

Budgeting at a live game show

A game show round takes under a minute, and the music, presenter and big multipliers are designed to keep you watching. Spreading chips across all eight spots feels safe but simply pays the house edge on every one. Set a stake per round and a total for the session, and stop when either runs out. Live casino play in Canada is for adults: 19+ (18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec). Free support lines and self-exclusion tools are listed on our responsible gambling page.

Questions readers ask

What is Crazy Time?

A live casino game show from Evolution, launched in July 2020, built on a 54-segment money wheel with number spots and four bonus games: Cash Hunt, Coin Flip, Pachinko and Crazy Time.

What is the RTP of Crazy Time?

It differs by bet spot. Third-party guides quote about 96.08% on the number 1 and lower figures on bonus spots; check the in-game help, which lists the RTP for each spot.

Can a Crazy Time tracker predict the next spin?

No. Trackers record past results. Each spin is independent, so a bonus that has not appeared recently is not more likely to come next.

Is Lightning Link a live game show?

No. Lightning Link is a slot series, and the Lightning Link app is a social casino game with coins that cannot be cashed out.
