"Offshore access" means the site accepts players there without a provincial licence: provincial rules and complaint routes do not cover it.

For adults in Ontario and Alberta, Betty casino is a provincially regulated site: iGaming Ontario lists it in its directory of regulated sites, and the AGLC lists Betty Gaming CA, Ltd as an iGaming operator in Alberta. The casino’s own website says it is for Ontario and Alberta players only. Below we set out what that registration means for you, what the site offers, and the details we could not confirm.

Searches for “Betty Canada” often come from other provinces. Outside Ontario and Alberta, Betty is not offered, and the regulated route is your province’s own site: PlayNow in British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, Espacejeux in Quebec, and Atlantic Lottery in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador. In Alberta, the crown site Play Alberta continues to run next to the private operators.

Betty’s licence in Ontario and Alberta

Is Betty legit? Yes, within the two provinces where it is registered. The regulator line on file reads: AGCO / iGaming Ontario; AGLC / Alberta iGaming Corporation (Alberta). In practice:

  • Ontario. Betty is registered with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and holds an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario (iGO), the provincial agency that conducts and manages online gaming. iGO’s directory tags Betty as a casino and bingo site.
  • Alberta. Betty Gaming CA, Ltd is on the AGLC register as an iGaming operator for the Betty brand. In Alberta, operators need AGLC registration plus a commercial agreement with the Alberta iGaming Corporation. The private market there opened on 13 July 2026.

This is not an offshore permit. In Ontario the operator is bound by the AGCO’s Registrar’s Standards for Internet Gaming, which cover matters such as advertising and bonuses; in Alberta, AGLC’s rules apply. You can check the listing yourself on iGO’s operator directory; our guide to iGaming Ontario shows how.

How to confirm you are on the regulated Betty site

A brand name alone proves little, because look-alike sites exist across the industry. Start from iGaming Ontario’s published directory of regulated sites, which groups each site under its legal entity, and follow the link to Betty from there. In Alberta, the AGLC’s gaming registrants page lists Betty Gaming CA, Ltd under the class “iGaming – Operator”. Note that AGLC registration on its own does not authorize gaming: an Alberta operator also needs its commercial agreement with the Alberta iGaming Corporation. If a site calling itself Betty asks you to play from Manitoba or Quebec, it is not the provincially regulated Betty described in this review.

One point of confusion: a different site with a similar Betty name appears on the Kahnawake Gaming Commission’s permit list under another company. It does not appear to be the Canadian Betty described here, and nothing on this page applies to it.

Age and location rules for Betty players

You need to be physically in Ontario or Alberta when you play, and of age for that province: 19 in Ontario, 18 in Alberta. Across Canada the general rule is 19+ (18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec). iGaming Ontario says you may open or access an account from outside the province, but you cannot place wagers there.

Expect to give your legal name, date of birth and address at sign-up, and to have your identity checked before a withdrawal.

What you can play: casino games and bingo

There is no sportsbook, poker room or lottery here. iGO tags the site as casino and bingo; only three Ontario brands carry the bingo tag next to casino. We could not confirm a game count, a studio list or whether live dealer tables are offered, so we print none of those.

If slots are what you play, our slots guide explains RTP, volatility and how to read a game’s information panel before you spin. Open that panel inside a game before you stake real money.

Betty bonus and promo code: what Ontario rules allow

Bonus searches are common for this brand, and Ontario’s rules shape what we can show you. Under standard 2.05 of the AGCO’s Registrar’s Standards, Ontario operators may communicate bonuses and inducements only on their own gaming site and in direct marketing to players who have opted in; public advertising of bonuses, including the display of promotional codes, is not allowed.

So we do not print Betty’s offers or codes here. What we can tell you is where to look: on Betty’s own site, in the promotions section and in your account after you sign up, and in the full terms that sit next to each offer. Our Betty promo code page explains how to read those terms, and our Betty no deposit bonus page covers free spins and no deposit offers.

Some values that matter when you compare offers, as far as we hold them: wagering not stated, minimum deposit not stated.

Interac and Betty withdrawal times: what we hold

Payments are a gap in our data. We could not confirm Betty’s cashier list or its stated payout times from the operator’s pages. Here is what the record holds:

Payments item On file
Methods not stated
Interac e-Transfer not stated
Withdrawal time not stated

If a Betty withdrawal is delayed, ask the operator for the reason in writing. iGaming Ontario advises players to take a complaint to the operator first. Check the cashier inside your account for the methods actually offered; our Interac casino guide explains how it works.

The Betty app question

We could not confirm a native app listing in the App Store or Google Play from a primary source. Store status on file: Android not stated, iOS not stated. The Betty app page explains how to check a listing and how to use the casino in a mobile browser.

Any Betty sister sites?

Betty Gaming CA, Ltd appears with one brand on iGO’s list and one on the AGLC register: Betty. We know of no other Ontario casino run by the same legal entity, so lists of “Betty sister sites” elsewhere probably mean similar casinos, not a shared operator. Our sister sites guide explains how to check ownership through the directory.

Self-exclusion and support for Betty players

Regulation brings provincial protection with it. In Ontario, iGO points players to centralized self-exclusion through BetGuard, which covers all regulated Ontario online gambling, or to each operator’s own programme. In Alberta, AGLC rules set the standard. Our scorecard reflects this: 75/100 out of 100, verdict Acceptable.

Help lines our researchers verified: ConnexOntario, 1-866-531-2600, 24 hours a day; in Alberta, the Addiction Helpline, 1-866-332-2322, 24/7. See our responsible gambling page for other provinces.

Where Betty lands in our ratings

The legal status is clear: registered with the AGCO, contracted with iGO, and on the AGLC register in Alberta. The product is narrow, casino and bingo only, and public data on payments, payout times and apps is thin. Those gaps keep the score below our recommended band. Players who also want sports betting or lottery will be better served by a crown site or a broader private brand. For casino play inside the two provinces, Betty is a legitimate choice backed by provincial rules.
