The only Pokerbet site we could find is a South African brand at pokerbet.co.za that offers poker, an online casino and sports betting. It is not licensed by any Canadian province, is not on the iGaming Ontario list, and we found nothing showing that it serves Canadian players. We could not tell which site Canadians mean when they search for Pokerbet.
The .com version of the name redirects to a domain broker, so there is no international Pokerbet site to review. This page explains what we checked, why we give no button, and where Canadians can find regulated poker and sports betting.
Pokerbet licence and legal standing in Canada
In Canada, section 207 of the Criminal Code puts gambling under provincial control. Online poker, casino games and sports betting are legal through crown sites in each province and through private operators registered in Ontario (AGCO and iGaming Ontario) and Alberta (AGLC and the Alberta iGaming Corporation). Pokerbet is in none of these.
The South African site’s own page showed us no licence or operator text, so we cannot say which regulator, if any, oversees it. Even if the site accepted a Canadian, you would have no Canadian complaint route and no access to provincial self-exclusion. Our rating method explains why we score licence and protection first.
Should Canadians sign up?
For South African players it may well be a real local brand; that is outside our scope. For Canadians, we found no evidence of an offer, a licence that applies here or Canadian payment methods. We have not given Pokerbet a score, and we do not recommend signing up from Canada.
Pokerbet promo code, bonus and free spins
Searches for a Pokerbet promo code, no deposit bonus or free spins from Canada most likely surface offers from the South African site, which we have no reason to think apply to Canadian residents. We have no confirmed Canadian offer: welcome offer not stated, promo code not stated. For how bonus terms work at regulated sites, see our bonus section.
No Canadian Pokerbet app
We could not confirm a Pokerbet app in the Canadian App Store or Google Play. Store availability is set by country, and a South African app is unlikely to be listed here. Any APK offered under the name from another source is unverified.
Where to play poker legally in Canada
Several regulated routes exist. Ontario players can choose from private poker rooms registered with iGaming Ontario. In other provinces, crown sites such as PlayNow and Loto-Quebec include online poker. Our poker guide compares the options, and our Ontario page covers the private market.
Sports betting alternatives
Single-event sports betting has been legal in Canada since 27 August 2021, through provincial sites and registered books. Our sports betting section explains which books are regulated in each province.
Related brands
With no operator named on the pages we could read, we cannot identify Pokerbet sister sites. If a Pokerbet site for Canada appears, we will review it on its own terms.
Play safely
Poker and betting are for adults: 19+ (18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec). Our responsible gambling page lists free provincial helplines.
