"Offshore access" means the site accepts players there without a provincial licence: provincial rules and complaint routes do not cover it.

In Canada, BetVictor is regulated in two provinces. In Ontario it operates under an agreement with iGaming Ontario after registration with the AGCO; in Alberta its Canadian company is registered with the AGLC for the private market that opened on 13 July 2026. We found no registration in any other province or territory, so BetVictor Canada in practice means Ontario and Alberta. This BetVictor review covers the licence, the sportsbook and casino, bonus codes, the app and withdrawals.

The legal entity on both regulator lists is BV (Canada) Limited. The iGaming Ontario directory tags BetVictor for both casino and sports. Play is 19+ (18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec), and under iGaming Ontario rules you cannot place a wager on the Ontario site unless you are physically in the province.

BetVictor Ontario and Alberta: who holds the registration

The brand is older than online betting. Wikipedia gives 1946 as the founding year of BetVictor and names Michael Tabor as the owner. In Canada the registrations are not held by the group’s companies abroad but by BV (Canada) Limited, which appears on the iGaming Ontario regulated-market directory and on the AGLC list of gaming registrants for Alberta.

Being on those lists has practical effects for you. The operator must follow provincial standards on identity checks, advertising, game fairness and safer play tools. In Ontario you can join the centralized BetGuard self-exclusion program, which covers every regulated Ontario site at once, not only BetVictor. If something goes wrong, iGaming Ontario asks players to raise a complaint with the operator first, and the AGCO stands behind the registration. Our guide to iGaming Ontario walks through that route. In Alberta, the Alberta iGaming Corporation runs the market and the AGLC registers operators; our Alberta page sets out what that means for players.

We could not confirm a separate BetVictor site aimed at the rest of Canada. If you live in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec or Atlantic Canada, your regulated choices are the provincial crown sites.

Is BetVictor legit? Two provinces, two answers

For players in Ontario and Alberta the short answer is yes: BetVictor is on the official lists in both provinces, and you can check those lists yourself before you sign up. A registration does not make every bonus generous or every rule convenient. It does mean a Canadian regulator can hold the operator to account.

Outside those two provinces the question changes. iGaming Ontario says you may access an account from outside the province but cannot place wagers there, so an Ontario account is no use for betting from Manitoba or Quebec. Ads that promise BetVictor access from anywhere in Canada do not match how the regulated product works, and we would treat them with caution.

BetVictor sportsbook: markets and bet types

BetVictor began as a bookmaker, and the iGaming Ontario directory tags it for sports. The operator’s Canadian site did not load for our research, so we do not list its leagues or bet types here; check the sportsbook menu for the sports you follow. Single-event betting has been legal in Canada since 27 August 2021, so you can bet on one NHL game rather than a parlay; our sports betting section explains odds formats, how lines move and how to set a weekly limit before you start.

Market depth changes by sport and by event. Before you compare BetVictor with another Ontario sportsbook, look at the margin built into the odds for the same game: over a full season, small differences in price between two books can matter more than a one-time welcome offer.

BetVictor casino, slots and bingo

The casino side is confirmed by the casino tag on the iGaming Ontario directory. We could not verify the game lobby from an official page, so we do not describe its sections, studios or titles; lobbies at regulated sites change often anyway. Searches for BetVictor slots and BetVictor games lead to that same casino lobby.

What you can check for any slot is the return to player (RTP), volatility and maximum win, published by the studio in the game’s info screen. A higher RTP is a long-run average across millions of spins, not a promise for one session. We found no separate BetVictor bingo product on the Ontario directory listing, which tags the brand for casino and sports only.

BetVictor bonus code and welcome offers

BetVictor bonus code searches are common, but in Ontario many welcome offers are claimed by opting in rather than typing a code. The current welcome offer on file is: not stated. Promo code, if one applies: not stated. Wagering requirement: not stated. If these fields are empty, we could not confirm a current public offer, and the operator’s promotions page is the only reliable source.

Some sites advertise BetVictor free spins, BetVictor 200 free spins or a BetVictor no deposit bonus. We could not confirm any of these as a current Canadian offer. Free spin packages are a common format in other markets, and copied headlines travel between countries. The terms that decide the value are the same for every offer: what you must deposit, how many times the bonus or winnings must be wagered, which games count, how long you have and whether winnings are capped. Our BetVictor promo code page covers this in more detail.

Deposits, Interac and BetVictor withdrawal times

We could not confirm BetVictor’s Canadian payment list from an official page, because the operator’s site did not return content to our research fetch. The fields below update when the data is confirmed:

Item BetVictor
Minimum deposit not stated
Interac not stated
Payment methods not stated
Withdrawal time not stated

For any regulated operator, the first withdrawal usually takes longer than later ones, because identity verification has to be complete before money leaves the account. Common causes of delay are missing documents and a withdrawal method that differs from the deposit method. Read the cashier rules before your first deposit, not after a win.

The BetVictor app on phones

We could not confirm a BetVictor app listing for Canada in the App Store or Google Play. Android: not stated. iOS: not stated. If no app is listed for your province, the mobile website is the regulated route; it uses the same account, limits and location checks as the desktop site. Only install an app from the official store page linked by the operator, never from a file sent through a message or ad.

BetVictor reviews and our score

Our score for BetVictor is 78/100 out of 100, with the verdict shown at the top of this page. It earns full marks for licence and legal standing, because it holds provincial registrations. Points are held back for payments and bonuses because we could not confirm Interac support, published payout times or current wagering terms from an official source. The method is set out on our rating page. Player reviews on public review sites are worth reading for patterns, such as repeated verification delays, but single angry posts tell you little.

BetVictor sister sites

BV (Canada) Limited appears on the Ontario and Alberta lists for BetVictor only, so we found no BetVictor sister sites in the regulated Canadian market. Brands that share an owner in Europe do not automatically share a Canadian registration. Each must appear on the provincial list in its own right.

Safer play with BetVictor

As a registered operator, BetVictor must offer deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion in its account settings. Set limits before you play, not during a losing session. In Ontario, ConnexOntario offers free support at 1-866-531-2600, 24 hours a day; in Alberta the Addiction Helpline is 1-866-332-2322. Our responsible gambling page lists tools and helplines for every province.

In Ontario and Alberta, yes. BV (Canada) Limited is on the iGaming Ontario directory and the AGLC list of gaming registrants. We found no provincial registration for BetVictor in other provinces.

Who owns BetVictor?

Wikipedia names Michael Tabor as the owner of the BetVictor group, founded in 1946. In Canada the registrations are held by BV (Canada) Limited.

Does BetVictor take Interac?

We could not confirm the Canadian payment list from an official page. Check the cashier on the operator's Ontario or Alberta site before you deposit.

Is there a BetVictor no deposit bonus in Ontario?

We could not confirm one. Offers with free spins and no deposit appear in other markets, and copied headlines are common. The operator's promotions page is the reliable source.

What happens if I travel outside Ontario with a BetVictor account?

You may still be able to log in, but the Ontario site will not accept wagers while you are outside the province. Alberta has its own registered BetVictor product; other provinces have crown sites.
