The biggest source of new online casinos in Canada in 2026 is Alberta: its private market opened on 13 July 2026, so every AGLC-registered casino there is new to Alberta players this year. In Ontario, new casino sites keep joining the AGCO register, and among the newer brands we rate highly are SpinGenie and KnightSlots. Licensed newcomers come first in the ranking; recent offshore launches follow with their licence status, and the last sections cover what a short track record means for you.
New licensed casino sites, ranked
Launch years come from the operators or from review databases where the operator does not publish one. A brand can be older internationally than its Canadian site.

- SpinGenie: launched in 2022, run by Skill On Net Ltd., registered in Ontario and Alberta, Interac reported, web app rather than a store app.
- KnightSlots: launched in 2021, Skill On Net Ltd., Ontario.
- NorthStar Bets: a casino and sportsbook run by NorthStar Gaming (Ontario) Inc., AGCO-registered, for players 19+ in Ontario.
- Mr Vegas: Videoslots Ltd., Ontario and Alberta; the international brand dates from 2020.
- Betinia: Canadix Limited in Ontario, with sister sites Swiper and ToonieBet; the international brand launched in 2020.
- Casino Time: CasinoTime Inc. of Kingston, Ontario, describing itself as Canadian-owned.
- Toppz and Fever Slots: smaller Ontario-registered casino brands with less published information, which keeps their scores lower.
- LuckyLiner: launched in 2023, registered in Alberta, not in Ontario; several payment details are still unconfirmed, so it sits in our caution band.
Alberta’s new casino market
The iGaming Alberta Act created the Alberta iGaming Corporation, and the AGLC registers private operators. Since 13 July 2026, Albertans aged 18+ can play at registered private sites alongside Play Alberta, the crown site. Many familiar Ontario brands, including BetMGM, FanDuel, DraftKings, Royal Vegas and PlayOJO, appear on the AGLC list. We do not publish a count of Alberta operators because the list is still changing. Our Alberta page tracks the details.
New casinos in Ontario: how to check one
A new online casino in Ontario must be registered with the AGCO and hold an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario before it can take bets. The iGaming Ontario directory lists every authorised site under its operator, and a new brand from an existing operator shares that operator’s systems. Before you sign up at any new site, find its name in the directory. The iGaming Ontario guide shows how.
New offshore casinos and their licences
Many casinos advertised to Canadians as new are offshore launches. Recent examples in our reviews:
- Beazt: launched in 2026 per review databases; licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority; not licensed by any province.
- Granawin: established in 2024; Kahnawake Gaming Commission licence per review databases; not licensed by any province.
- HellSpin: launched in 2022; Kahnawake and Curacao licences cited; not licensed by any province.
New offshore sites have no track record and no provincial complaint route. Many also block players located in Ontario; do not try to get around that block.
New casino no deposit bonus offers
New casinos often lead with no deposit bonuses and free spins to attract sign-ups. At offshore sites these usually come with wagering, a short expiry and a low cap on cash-outs. Ontario operators may not advertise bonuses publicly, so you see their offers only on their own sites. Our bonuses section explains how to price any offer before you claim it.
New casino sites versus new brands from old operators
Many sites marketed as new are fresh brands from operators that already run several casinos. Betinia’s Ontario sisters Swiper and ToonieBet, or the four Skill On Net brands, are examples. Such a brand inherits its operator’s licence status, payment set-up and complaint history, which tells you far more than its launch date.
What a short track record means
- Fewer data points: there are few complaints or payout reports to judge a new site by.
- Changing terms: new operators adjust bonuses, limits and payment methods often in their first year.
- Shared platforms: many new brands run on an existing operator’s platform, which helps if that operator is licensed in your province.
- The licence matters more than the age: a new Ontario-registered site answers to the AGCO from day one; a new offshore site does not.
Our process for adding new brands
We check new brands against the iGaming Ontario directory, the AGLC registrant list and offshore licence registers, then read the operator’s terms and help pages. We do not open accounts. Scores for new sites tend to rise as more of their terms can be confirmed. Every brand has its own page in our reviews section.
New sites are for adults only: 19+ (18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec). A new account is a good moment to set deposit and time limits; our responsible gambling page shows how.
Questions readers ask
- What are the newest online casinos in Canada?
The largest wave is Alberta's private market, open since 13 July 2026. In Ontario, newer brands we rate well include SpinGenie (2022) and KnightSlots (2021). Offshore launches such as Beazt (2026) are not licensed by any province.
- Are new online casinos safe?
A new site licensed in your province answers to a provincial regulator from its first day. A new offshore site has no track record and no provincial complaint route.
- Do new casinos have better bonuses?
They often advertise larger offers, especially offshore, but the terms are usually stricter. Compare the wagering and cash-out caps, not the headline amount.
- How can I check if a new Ontario casino is legal?
Look for it in the iGaming Ontario operator directory. If the site or its operator is not listed, it is not authorised in Ontario.
