Mr Beast Casino App

The Mr Beast casino app promoted in social ads has no licensed operator behind it. Here is how the scam works and how to protect yourself.

Mr Beast Casino App

Part of our Mr Beast Casino report: - Avoid Warning: scam pattern

The Mr Beast casino app advertised on social media is not a real, licensed gambling product. We found no official app from the creator in any store listing tied to a licensed operator, and no gambling regulator, provincial or foreign, lists a casino under that name. Treat any download using his face or name as a likely scam.

This page explains how these apps reach phones, what happens after you deposit, and where licensed casino apps for Canadians actually come from. Background on the brand name and the ads is in our Mr Beast Casino warning page.

How a fake celebrity casino app gets onto your phone

Apps like this tend to reach phones by one of three routes:

  1. A fake store page. The ad opens a web page dressed up like Google Play or the App Store. The “install” button downloads a file directly or installs a web shortcut.
  2. A disguised store listing. An app may be listed in a real store as a simple game and show a casino screen only after it is installed. Store review is not a gambling licence check.
  3. A link in chat. A message on Telegram, WhatsApp or Instagram offers a “private beta” of the app.

In each case the app collects deposits through cards, crypto or transfers. Any balance shown on screen is just a number set by the people running it.

Why the fake app pays nothing out

The usual pattern is that small wins appear early to build trust. When you try to withdraw, the app asks for a verification fee, a tax prepayment or a larger deposit to reach a payout threshold. After that payment, the request stalls again or the account is closed. Licensed casinos do not ask for a fee to release winnings, and for most recreational players in Canada winnings are not taxed, so a “tax” demand is a red flag on its own.

Checking whether a casino app is genuine

  • The publisher name in the store matches a company you can find on a regulator’s register.
  • The app or site footer names the regulator and the licence holder.
  • In Ontario, the operator appears on the iGaming Ontario list of regulated sites; in other provinces, the app comes from the provincial lottery corporation.
  • Withdrawals use the same method as deposits, with no fee to unlock them.

Our mobile casino guide lists casino apps from operators we could identify, with their licence status.

Where real casino apps for Canadians come from

Some provincial lottery corporations publish their own apps; Loto-Quebec’s Mise-o-jeu sports betting app is one example. Ontario’s registered operators can take bets only while you are physically in Ontario, whether you use an app or a browser, and Alberta’s private market, open since 13 July 2026, is limited to operators registered with the AGLC. Our province guide shows which sites are regulated where you live.

Already installed it or paid?

  1. Do not send any further payment, whatever the app promises.
  2. Uninstall the app and remove any profile or certificate it asked you to accept.
  3. Call your bank or card issuer about the transactions.
  4. Change passwords you may have entered in the app.
  5. Report the ad to the platform and the fraud to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.

Licensed gambling apps are for adults, 19+ (18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec). If a loss has left you under pressure, our responsible gambling page lists free provincial help.
